LILLIAN AXE: tutti i dettagli del nuovo ‘The Box: Volume One – Resurrection’

Gli storici rocker di New Orleans Lillian Axe, capitanati dal chitarrista Steve Blaze, rilasceranno un corposo box set il prossimo 24 novembre 2023 tramite Cherry Red Records. Intitolato ‘The Box: Volume One – Resurrection’, è il primo di un cofanetto in due parti e raccoglierà i classici album in studio e dal vivo dei Lillian Axe oltre un’enorme quantità di rarità e brani inediti.

Dopo le ristampe deluxe dei primi due album dei Lillian Axe del 2017, arriva questo cofanetto da 7 CD, che copre le uscite in studio e live dal 1992 al 2009. Dagli album classici ‘Poetic Justice’ e ‘Psychoschizophrenia’, fino al preferito dai fan ‘Sad Day On Planet Earth’, arricchito da un’enorme quantità di registrazioni inedite, inclusi molti demo del seminale ‘Love & War’ del 1989, tra cui diversi composizioni mai sentite prima. Tutto sommato questa è niente di meno che la collezione definitiva dei Lillian Axe che documenta la prima parte della carriera della band. È incluso anche l’album solista del chitarrista e leader della band Steve Blaze, difficile da trovare, del 2004, ‘Random Acts of Blindness’.
