Frenchy and the Punk sono composti dalla cantante, percussionista e paroliere Samantha Stephenson e dal chitarrista e compositore Scott Helland. Influenzato da icone come The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Blondie, Concrete Blonde, Adam and the Ants, The B52’s e Serge Gainsbourg, il duo è diventato famoso per la loro miscela caratteristica di dark folk, post-punk e musica influenzata dal cabaret .
