Lo stesso vale per “Make me a Stone”.

ENGLISH VERSION

There are evenings destined to remain in the memory for the atmosphere and the emotions that are able to give to those who are fortunate enough to be able to say “I was there”, the last Sunday, May 15, it was one of those nights that without any doubt difficult to forget. The location is the Blues House Milan, despite its name, offers a variety of events and for the occasion, brings on stage the first and only date in Italy for Kari Rueslåtten, soprano, author and Norwegian pianist known for her it was part of the doom metal band “The 3rd and the Mortal”, one of the first bands to have a solo voice in the metal scene of the 90s, a group that has been able to inspire names like Nightwish and the Gathering.

In addition to this, Kari is also one of the three voices of the project The Sirens, in which he sings with Liv Kristine (ex lead voice of Leave’s Eyes) and Anneke Van Giersbergen. In short, the ingredients for a very special evening are all there and the atmosphere is realized since its entrance on stage, accompanied by her producer, who is also the star guitarist with her in live. The lineup of this first and only Italian date mix songs that are part of his solo career, which began in 1997, to more recent pieces, including those contained in the album released in October “To The North”.

It’s a musical journey to say the least exciting one that is undertaken together with her and her beautiful voice, “Battle Forevermore” and “Dance with the King” are the first two songs of a concert that becomes a wonderful experience to every note , guitar manages to be effective but discreet at the same time, creating a perfect background for the voice with which to conquer Kari her audience. “Why so Lonely”, perhaps one of the best known pieces, definitely capture everyone. The same goes for “Make me in Stone”. Between a song and another, Kari tells anecdotes of his career, started again after eight years of inactivity, and it is clear his emotion in retracing along with the audience, the main steps of his musical history. All this while the journey continues on “Paint Gray notes the Rainbow,” “The Homecoming Song” (song of 1995 added to her demo and never brought live), “Other People Stories” and “Winter Song”.

Then with “Agatha” that the climate becomes more intimate, Kari sitsat the piano to share with us this song to which she claims to be closely linked and that does not run in front of her fans for a long time. With “To the North”, a song that gives the title to her latest album, “All you han in me” and “Exile”, the ladder ends, after nearly two hours when thanks to her voice, there was literally made harnessing its unique atmosphere of the Nordic lands, as if they had actually traveled reaching places that define magic is an understatement. Personally I would say that’s about as even the Blues House, who gave the Italian public the first time for an artist that I hope we can still see on our stages.
